In September of 2012, a small community in Greater Seattle’s Eastside garnered some big attention. The community, Clyde Hill, was featured in a national story on “Best Places to Live for Suburbanites.” The article profiled 11 cities across the U.S. that embody the quality of life most sought by those living in the suburbs. The cities were judged based on percentage of home ownership, quality of schools, and access to important amenities such as gas stations and grocery stores. Clyde Hill ranked very high in all 3 categories.
Over 89% of its residents own their homes, its public schools are among the best in the nation, and there are a whopping 1,026 and counting amenities nearby. The story captured some aspects of what make Clyde Hill a wonderful place to live, but as residents will tell you, there is a lot more to it than that. From beautiful views of the mountains and water to almost instantaneous access to downtown Bellevue, Clyde Hill is one of the Eastside’s most sought-after zip codes.
